How to calculate the required amount of material (tiles) 1. Measuring the area: Measure the length and height of each surface you plan to wallpaper. 2. Calculating the total area: Multiply the resulting values (length x height) for each surface in meters. Add the results together to get the total area of the surface to be wallpapered (in square meters). Example: Wall length is 4.35 m, wall height is 2.48 m. 4.35 x 2.48 = 10.78 square meters. 3. Determining the number of tiles: Divide the total surface area by the area of one tile. (For a 600 x 300 mm tile, the area is 0.18 square meters.) Example: 10.78 / 0.18 = 59.88 4. Rounding: Always round up the result. In our example: 60 tiles. 5. Allowance for cutting: Consider the inevitable waste during installation due to cutting. Place the tile in position, press firmly, and smooth with your hand or a rubber roller.
